Internationally renowned Coed-Y-Brenin Mountain Bike and Rambling Park just down the road makes this cottage ideal accommodation for MTB's.

Serious walkers can use Swn y Nant as a centre to explore the spectacular walks on Precipice Walk(s) and Cader Idris mountain.

The Mawddach trail runs along the old railway line from Dolgellau to Barmouth which can be walked or cycled.

The iconic Barmouth railway bridge is one of the most photographed and instantly recognisable in all of Wales.
